KH.jpg Fashion Meets Function in New Celebrity Line of Apparel

Katherine Heigl, star of ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” has partnered up with Peaches Uniforms to launch a new premium line of healthcare uniforms. This venture marks the first time a noted celebrity has launched a product line in the healthcare apparel industry. The Katherine Heigl collection, which debuts in Fall 2007, offers a high level of style and sophistication to the women who want to express their own personal style in the workplace.

“I have tremendous respect for women in the healthcare industry,” Heigl said. “I wanted to create a line of scrubs that would allow women to infuse some of their personality and style into their work apparel. When you feel good about how you look, you are more confident, more motivated and it can lift your spirits.”

The line features four different categories of uniforms and scrubs for women based on Katherine's personal style. "London" pays tribute to England's kitschy trends, and features mod details mixed in with blacks, grays, hot pinks and whites. "Connecticut" is all about crisp clean lines, with sea blue and white tones, blazer-style jackets and angled stitch pockets. "Los Angeles" is for the hip-casual starlet, embodying the city's laid-back vibe with comfort-architected pieces and denim inspired details. "Seattle" adds an adventurous touch with cargo-style scrubs and custom floral prints in coral and hunter green.

Most pieces in the collection will be priced under $25, and all will be made from high-quality, soil-release fabrics to ensure long-lasting wear, comfort and durability.

Tips to Avoid Athlete’s Foot

1. Wash your feet often with soap and water, and be sure to dry them well after washing (especially the area between the toes). 2. Do not share shoes, slippers or socks with others. 3. Choose shoes that allow air circulation during warmer months and wear cotton socks to absorb moisture. 4. Always wear rubber sandals or water shoes in public showers and locker rooms.

Feet Treats

If you’re a nurse, you know that foot pain and pressure are just some of the occupational aches that come along with the job. Fortunately, Earth Therapeutics offers several products to help alleviate the stresses of the hospital floor.

"Cushies" Gel Foot Covers are designed to relieve pressure from the balls of the feet and provide comfort and protection for your toes, while Soft-Gel Toe Spreaders aid in the prevention and treatment of bunions by helping straighten out misaligned toes. And at the end of a long day, treat your feet to Soft-Toes Comfy Slips, fully lined with a gel cushion and infused with a skin nourishing combination of jojoba oil, Vitamin E and olive oil to pamper tired, achy feet.

Visit www.earththerapeutics.com for additional products. Your feet will thank you!
