suturtek.jpgSafer Stitches

According to the American College of Surgeons, suture-needle sticks occur in as many as 15 percent of all surgeries, threatening OR nurses, surgeons and staff with blood-borne pathogen exposure. SuturTek® Incorporated's new suturing tool, the 360° Fascia Closure Device, was developed to ensure safety when suturing fascia, during which 59 percent of suture needle injuries occur. The 360° Fascia Closure Device is the only suturing solution with an FDA cleared claim that it “aids in the prevention of suture needle sticks,” complying with OSHA regulations and reducing cost, risk and liability exposure. The device is reusable, ergonomic, can be sterilized and delivers high quality stitches. For more information, visit www.suturtek.com.

Electronic payment transactions in the U.S. exceeded check payments for the first time at the end of 2004, according to the Federal Reserve.
